From fist steps to final mandalas

Right now a lot is going on in my life. Building up a new website, participating in photo/video shoots for promotion of my work in Danish, job hunting, meetings in the kids school, preparation for my hubands 50's birthday in general just life. It really doesn't leave much space for creativity.

### What I'm working on:

These two was prepared long time ago, after the summer holiday, I belive.... I just never got around to make them. And now I have completely forgotten what my plan was. Luckily ideas is not what I lack.

I started drawing circles on both papers alle the way to the top edges as well, you might be able to see that I have put some wide masking tape around the edges.. I like the idea of creating a frame on the paper, and when i start going, I almost forget I have it there, meaning it looks more authentic when pealing it off.

###
What I'm struggling with

I'm always stuggeling with time. Either having to little or nothing at all. This time even a fairly simpel painting like this one, was difficult to find the time for. However I started to bring it from my studio to my living room - then it became lot easier to just grab the paper and do it bit by bit. Especially if my husband is watching Formula 1 or something else that I don't find that interesting 😄

Furthermore I decided to colour them with Neo Colour 2 from Caran d'ache. It's not often that I do that, but for some reason I felt right for this kind of work. Normaly I would sketch the forms and shapes, so I at least have some guidelines, for this one I did them directly in the chosen colour. It's not always you can tell how the filnal result will be - but I'm pretty satisfied with this one.

## What I'm noticing

As mentioned before, time is always a struggle for me. I seem to do anything else than what I supposed to do. Often most of it is in my head. I love to make patterns, draw and paint - it's where my head and body is most aligned. It's were everything feels just right! But instead of doing just that, there is always something I need to fix before. Clean up a table, do some laundry, work, go to the grocery store, do the dishes, reacting to my kids yelling "mom!" for the 20ht time that day (they are 14 and 17 and quite capable of doing stuff themselves) and what else I can think of before "I deserve" to do the the thing that feels just right.... It really doesn't make sense. Maybe for a week I should try to reverse it. Do the stuff I love before all the practical stuff? Would I notice a difference in my lack of time?

Thanks for reading this long - I guess this time was more about a personal struggel that an actually painting - but thats how it is from time to time

Hope you'll check in again another time
